Advanced Manual Therapy

Advanced Manual Therapy

Includes mobilizations, manipulations, and muscle energy techniques to promote movement of specific joints and proper bony and soft tissue alignment.

Phonophoresis

The use of Ultrasound to send topical anti-inflammatory medication through the skin to decrease inflammation of tissue underneath.

Electrical stimulation

Electrical stimulation

A treatment modality that uses an electric current to provide pain relief, increase muscle strength of weakened muscles, promote healing, or decrease swelling. Also known as “e-stem,” this assists with endorphin production and muscle relaxation. Endorphin is a chemical from the brain that reduces pain in the affected area. This equipment has different settings for both muscle re-education and muscle strengthening.

Heated Aqua-massage

A heated multi jet massage bed that increases circulation to injured body regions. A mechanical arm with water jets travels up and down over the patient’s body pulsing water from above. These jets give a deep, relaxing massage of the neck, back, legs, and arms. Patients can control the location and intensity of the massage. This is a completely dry treatment, so patients need not worry about getting wet.

Iontophoresis

A transdermal delivery system in which an anti-inflammatory medication bearing a charge is propelled through the skin by a low electrical current.

Four minute Cross Trainer

Combines multiple rehab/workout equipment into one machine to dynamically provide rehabilitation of multiple bodily injuries.

Ultrasound

Low frequency sound waves are applied to the affected area which warm the area and relax the muscles. This eases tension and dilates blood vessels to increase blood flow. These help the area heal and reduce inflammation.

Lumbar/cervical traction

A treatment that uses negative pressure on disc herniations or bulges to relocate contents of disc and end painful impingement of nerve roots branching from the spinal cord.

Saunders 3D Active Trac

A treatment that uses negative pressure on disc herniations or bulges to relocate contents of disc and end painful impingement of nerve roots branching from the spinal cord.

Infrared Light therapy

NASA research reveals decreased healing time by increasing energy levels in Mitochondria of the cell and without the heating effects normally associated with infrared lamps.

Low level cold laser therapy

Low level cold laser therapy

Low level laser light is applied to the affected area at a specific frequency and amplitude. This reduces pain by limiting nerve transmission of pain signals, dilating blood vessels, and promoting cellular synthesis and metabolism of energy.

Individualized home exercise programs

Exercise programs specific for the individual injuries of patients to return to prior level of function as soon as possible. Exercise programs are custom designed for each patient to target his or her particular area of concern. These enhance flexibility and muscular strength.
